The EzyStayz (EZY) crypto coin was once promoted as the future of booking vacation rentals - a digital currency you could use to pay for stays, earn free nights, and even play games to win accommodations. Launched in April 2020, it promised to disrupt the travel industry by combining blockchain with holiday bookings. But today, that promise is gone. EZY isn’t just struggling - it’s dead. No one’s trading it. No one’s using it. And the platform it was supposed to power doesn’t even accept it anymore.
What was EzyStayz (EZY) supposed to do?
EzyStayz claimed to be a global vacation rental platform with over 1 million listings across 205 countries. It partnered with 1,982 hotel chains and boutique resorts, according to its 2020 press releases. The idea was simple: use the EZY token to pay for bookings, skip fees, and unlock special perks. They even said you could "play and win" your stay for free through in-app games. It sounded like a fun twist on Airbnb - but with crypto. The token, EZY, was built as an ERC-20 standard on the Ethereum blockchain. Its smart contract address is 0xA6D5C720a9af5A405dFB6b9F44Fc44FaB5D4A58D. Total supply? 5.6 billion tokens. That’s a lot. And at launch, it was priced at $0.005. With that supply, the project claimed a $28 million market cap. That’s not small change. It debuted on Foblgate, a small exchange in South Korea. The PR said Binance was coming soon. That never happened. No major exchange ever listed EZY. Not even after the hype died. Why did EZY fail?
The biggest problem? No one could actually use it. Look at the EzyStayz website today - www.ezystayz.com. It looks like any normal travel booking site. You can book a villa in Bali or a cabin in the Rockies. But there’s no option to pay with EZY. No wallet integration. No crypto gateway. Nothing. The token was never added to the platform, despite repeated promises. Users noticed. One Reddit user, u/CryptoTraveler89, posted in March 2021: "Bought EZY during the Foblgate launch hype, tried to use it on their site for 6 months, never found an option to pay with crypto. Contacted support twice, never got a response." Another user on Bitcointalk said in May 2020: "The gaming elements they promised to win free stays never materialized in the app. EZY seems like an afterthought to the actual business." The platform’s own Trustpilot page has 27 reviews with an average of 2.1 out of 5 stars. Complaints are about booking errors, hidden fees, and poor customer service - but not one mentions crypto. That’s not an accident. It’s evidence the token was never meant to be real. What happened to the price and trading volume?
At launch, EZY was $0.005. Its all-time high was $0.000971. Today, as of October 28, 2025, it’s trading at $0.00007901. That’s a 98.42% drop from its original price. Trading volume? $16.68 in the last 24 hours. That’s less than what you’d spend on coffee. For comparison, Travala (AVA), a real travel crypto project, does over $10 million in monthly crypto volume. EZY doesn’t even register on the same scale. CoinMarketCap lists its market cap as nearly zero. CoinLore says it’s around $694,400 - but that’s based on a tiny number of trades, not real demand. CoinDesk says the market cap is $0. Either way, it’s not a functioning asset.
Is EZY still on any exchanges?
Foblgate was the only exchange that ever listed it. As of 2025, there’s no confirmation Foblgate still supports EZY. No other major exchange - Binance, Kraken, KuCoin, Coinbase - ever added it. And no new exchanges have picked it up since 2020. If you wanted to buy EZY today, you’d have to find someone willing to sell it on a peer-to-peer platform. Even then, you’d need to manually add the token to your wallet using the contract address. And once you have it? You can’t spend it. You can’t trade it easily. You can’t even find a reliable price feed. What about the team and the company?
EzyStayz was founded by Sofia Sorberg, based in Australia. The company’s PR team made big announcements in 2020. But after that, silence. The official Twitter account, @EzyStayzOfficial, last posted in June 2020. It has 147 followers. No updates. No replies. No engagement. The whitepaper - the document that was supposed to explain how the token worked - used to be at io.ezystayz.com. That site is gone. Dead. No redirect. No archive. Just a 404 error. No GitHub repo. No developer updates. No roadmap changes. No blog posts since 2020. This isn’t a slow project. This is an abandoned one.

ezY was a joke from day one. i bought it at 0.005 bc i thought it was gonna be the next travala. turned out the site never even accepted crypto. the devs ghosted after their last tweet in june 2020. now it’s worth less than a coffee bean. dont fall for these "utility" lies.

As a Nigerian traveler, I find this deeply concerning. We have seen too many crypto projects promise global accessibility, yet fail to deliver even basic functionality. EzyStayz was not merely a failure-it was a betrayal of trust from those seeking real innovation in travel. The token was never meant to be used; it was a vessel for speculation. Let this be a lesson to all emerging markets: if utility is absent, walk away.

It’s not a scam. It’s a tragedy. A project with zero execution, zero transparency, and zero soul. They raised money on vibes, not code. And now? Ghost town.
Henry Gómez Lascarro
People keep saying "it’s not a scam" like that somehow makes it better. Excuse me, but if you launch a product with a 5.6 billion token supply and zero actual use case, and then vanish after a single press release, you’re not just incompetent-you’re predatory. The fact that ASIC didn’t fine them means they were too lazy to chase a ghost. That’s not regulation working-that’s regulatory failure. And now you have people still holding this trash because they’re too emotionally invested to admit they got played. Classic crypto psychology. You don’t need to be a criminal to be a parasite. You just need to be a good marketer with zero ethics.

Why are we still talking about this? It’s dead. The website’s still up but the crypto part is gone. That’s not a bug-it’s the feature. They made a travel site and used crypto as a marketing gimmick. Done. Move on.

Man, I remember when I first saw EZY. Thought it was cool-game to win stays? That sounded like a vacation dream. But then I checked the site and realized… there was no wallet option. No way to even try. The whole thing felt like a bait-and-switch. I sold mine for pennies and just let it go. Honestly? I’m glad I didn’t buy more. The real winners here are the people who never invested at all.

rip EZY 💀 never stood a chance. stay safe out there crypto fam!

if you still hold ezY you’re either brave or delusional. i sold mine for 0.00002 and felt like i won. the real win is not losing more. trust me, the blockchain doesn’t miss you

Look, I get why people get sucked in. Crypto’s full of shiny promises. But EZY? It didn’t even try. No code updates. No team. No real community. Just a website that looks like it was built in 2018 and forgotten. If you’re thinking about investing in anything that says "play to win your vacation"-ask yourself: would a real company do this? Or are they just selling dreams to fund their next yacht?

Anyone else notice the whitepaper link is 404? That’s not just a dead site-that’s a deliberate erasure. They didn’t just abandon it. They tried to make it disappear. That’s not negligence. That’s cover-up.
Allison Andrews
There’s a philosophical layer here: when a project’s value is entirely dependent on belief, and that belief is systematically unfulfilled, what remains? Not utility. Not trust. Not even memory. Just the echo of a promise that never materialized. EZY is a monument to the fragility of faith in digital systems.
Wayne Overton
you still have ezY? why? just delete it and move on

OMG I bought EZY too!!! 😭 I thought it was gonna be huge!! I even told my mom about it!! Now I feel so stupid... I just checked and it's worth like 3 cents total... I’m crying into my coffee. 😢

So… the founder’s name is Sofia Sorberg? And she just vanished? No Instagram? No LinkedIn? No YouTube vlog about "how I built a crypto empire and then walked away"? That’s the real crime here. Not the token crash. The lack of drama. The silence. Where’s the documentary? Where’s the podcast? Where’s the TikTok confession? This isn’t a failure-it’s a boring one. And boring failures are the worst kind.
Lena Novikova
People still defending EZY? Bro. It's not a "mistake". It's a con. You don't need to steal money to scam people. You just need to sell a fantasy and never deliver. And that's exactly what happened. The team knew it was never going to work. They just wanted your ETH. Period.
Herbert Ruiz
The market cap figures vary because the token is not actively traded. The $694,400 valuation is statistically meaningless. It is derived from a handful of low-volume peer-to-peer trades. The true market cap is zero. This is not a technical issue-it is a fundamental collapse of trust and utility.
Frech Patz
It’s worth noting that the smart contract address is still on Ethereum’s blockchain. Technically, it exists. But existence ≠ utility. The token is a digital artifact, preserved like a fossil. A relic of a speculative era that mistook hype for innovation.
Ron Murphy
Interesting case study in tokenomics. The token had no liquidity, no exchange support, no developer activity, and no user adoption. Yet it was marketed with the same language as legitimate projects. This isn't just about EZY-it's about how the entire crypto space weaponizes FOMO and pseudo-technical jargon to mask fundamental absence of substance.
Nick Cooney
the site still looks half decent… but the crypto part? dead. like a car with a shiny paint job but no engine. i bet they used the website to get investors to think "oh they’re legit". classic.
Clarice Coelho Marlière Arruda
i just checked ezY on my wallet… still there… i forgot i even bought it. kinda like finding an old concert ticket from 2017. you’re like… wait did i go to this? nope. never happened.
Dr. Monica Ellis-Blied
For those still holding EZY: I understand the emotional attachment. You believed. You hoped. You thought you were part of something bigger. But holding onto a dead token won’t resurrect it-it will only delay your healing. Let it go. Learn. Grow. And next time, ask: "Can I actually use this today?" If the answer isn’t a clear, immediate yes-walk away. You deserve better than digital ghosts.
Kirsten McCallum
They didn’t build a platform. They built a pitch deck.
